Samsung Tocco Ultra S8300: test and review

leading sliders, Samsung combines the practicality of a sliding keyboard and elegance of touch with this mobile. Still, it is not thicker than an iPhone and proves even shorter and less wide. The Korean manufacturer has however included a smaller 2.8-inch screen.

The display is certainly closer, but with AMOLED technology, colors are more vivid and improved contrast.

The screen is made of tempered glass, insensitive to scratches of a keychain in a pocket, for example.

We find the interface of Samsung Player templates with drag and drop widgets on the home screen. Depending on your tastes, you go directly to the Yellow Pages, routes with Mappy, movie times with Allociné weather with AccuWeather, sports news with the Team, Facebook and MySpace account.

Featuring a 3G + chip, such information or navigation are lightning fast. With the accelerometer, the mobile user experience is lived in portrait or landscape mode. So far, nothing new compared to other Samsung Player.

Like the iPhone 3G, the Tocco Ultra has a GPS, convenient for navigation (Google Maps) but also geotagging photos. However, when the iPhone 3G offers only take pictures with a sensor 2 magapixels, this Samsung is expressed with an eye to 8 megapixels with autofocus.

The pictures are very good, even in low light and very fluid video (30 frames / s) with an amazing resolution of 720×480 pixels in MPEG4, like a traditional camera. In fact, we especially regret that autonomy does not exceed 2 days.

For lovers of photos, HD videos, wishing to stay connected, the Tocco Ultra has many strengths, they surf much.
